A Still Form in the Snow
A thick layer of ice coats the fur of a hare sitting perfectly motionless at the edge of a busy, snow-packed road. The animal stays hunched in a tight ball, completely unresponsive to the cars rushing past just feet away. Each vehicle creates a gust of wind, but the hare does not flinch or twitch its ears.

He slides into the driver’s seat, placing the hare on the passenger side floor, still wrapped in the protective layer. The engine hums to life, and the SUV pulls back onto the road, leaving the icy patch behind.
Inside the warm cabin of the car, the hare rests on the floor mat, its ears now free from the ice, twitching slightly as the man grips the steering wheel.
