Kim Kardashian Struggles With North West’s Fame Before Teen Years

Kim Kardashian is reportedly grappling with a challenging reality as her daughter North West approaches her teenage years having already experienced a level of fame that would overwhelm most adults. With North set to turn 13 on June 15, she has grown well beyond being simply the daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

Over the past several years, she has established herself as a celebrity in her own right, amassing a massive social media following while stepping into music, fashion, and business before even reaching her teens. As North’s profile has continued to rise, Kim has faced mounting criticism online, with many accusing her of pushing her daughter into the spotlight far too soon.

Insiders, however, claim Kardashian views the situation as nearly inevitable given the extraordinary level of fame surrounding the family. “Kim would actually prefer it if her kids weren’t so in the spotlight, but she knows that isn’t realistic,” a source said.

“That’s why she’s preparing them all to be self-sufficient financially and exploit their nepo baby status.” North was introduced to the world almost immediately after birth, appearing publicly as a two-month-old baby in a close-up photo wrapped in white blankets.

From there, her exposure only accelerated. While still a toddler, she was already moving in elite circles, reportedly attending lunches with Anna Wintour, sitting front row at New York Fashion Week, appearing in Vogue, modeling for CR Fashion Book, and featuring on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

By age four she was landing magazine covers, by six she was performing vocals at one of Kanye West’s Paris Fashion Week shows, and at ten she performed on stage during a Lion King concert event. Now her career activities reportedly extend far beyond social media.

According to reports, she has been pulled from private school and transitioned to home tutoring to allow greater flexibility for music and fashion commitments. She also shares a TikTok account with Kim that has reportedly grown to more than 21 million followers.

Multiple business trademarks tied to North have also been filed. Earlier this year, Kardashian reportedly submitted a federal trademark application through KimYe’s Kid Inc.

for North’s developing brand, NOR11, a name combining the first three letters of North’s name with the age she was when she first began developing the concept. The filing reportedly covers clothing, shoes, bags, jewelry, and cosmetics.

“Kim knows North is going to be a star, so the trademarks are practical,” an insider claimed. “It’s her way of beating anyone hoping to cash in on her fame by trademarking her name to the chase.”

Kim has publicly acknowledged that juggling motherhood with North’s rapidly growing career has been a real struggle. She shares four children with Kanye West — North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm — but North’s ambitions have already pushed her into a role many compare to her own mother Kris Jenner’s famous “momager” position.

On The Kardashians, Kim explained that she carefully monitors North’s livestreams and online presence. “She’s not doing anything without me being right there the whole time,” Kardashian said.

On another episode of the Hulu series, she admitted she had not anticipated how quickly North’s interests would evolve on a professional level. “Me having to be her momager right now is crazy,” she said.

“It was not on my list. It was not on my Bingo card for this year.

And I’m not ready.” Kim has also spoken openly about her inner conflict.

“I’m really conflicted on my daughter’s career,” she explained. “I just really want to make sure that everything’s really well balanced.

All of the work experiences are balanced out with just enough fun life experiences. I just want balance.”

That balance has reportedly become harder to maintain as North’s projects keep expanding. She recently released her debut six-track EP, N0rth4evr, which reportedly includes songs touching on the pressures and downsides of growing up in the public eye.

According to insiders, the project earned an advance well over seven figures, with reports indicating the money is being held in a trust for North to access when she is an adult. She has also launched an online merchandise store tied to the project, offering items including arm warmers, shirts, accessories, and jewelry-inspired pieces.

The EP followed her debut of the single Piercing on My Hand alongside Kanye West during an appearance in Mexico City. The pair also performed Kanye’s song Only One, which was originally written for North, along with tracks including Talking and Bomb.

Beyond her collaborations with Kanye, North has reportedly worked with other artists on music projects. Singer FKA Twigs has publicly referred to North as a friend, while Chance the Rapper spoke glowingly about her at The Gordon Parks Foundation Gala on May 19.

“She’s an incredibly talented artist,” Chance said. “Everything I’ve heard from her is amazing, very vibrant and well put together.

She’s an inventor.” Yet the praise has come alongside significant criticism.

North’s bold personality and striking fashion choices have repeatedly sparked debate online. She has gone viral for yelling at paparazzi, referring to herself as “the best ever,” and for fashion statements including blue hair, grills, finger piercings, fake face tattoos, and colored contact lenses.

Some critics argue she is being exposed to fame far too early, while others question whether her success is primarily driven by nepotism and her parents’ industry connections. “I won’t be a bit surprised when we find out later that she gets herself into a world of trouble because she was given so much so soon,” one commenter wrote online.

Reports also indicate that North is working with Gamma, the entertainment company founded by former Apple executive Larry Jackson. Jackson, who reportedly helped Kanye release his recent album Bully despite the rapper’s years of controversy, is said to be closely involved in shaping North’s music career.

“North is currently working with Larry, who has been behind the careers of Fantasia, Leona Lewis, and signed Lana Del Rey,” an insider said. “The label is also home to fellow nepo babies Willow and Jaden Smith.”
