An Unexpected Turn on the Muddy Trail
The driver looked over his shoulder for a brief moment, momentarily losing sight of the winding path ahead.
The green SUV turned sharply on the slick, muddy path tracing the edge of the tea plantation.

An Urgent Search for Help
A brown dog wearing a thick black collar sprinted down the road toward the wreckage, its paws kicking up wet mud as it hurried to the driver’s side.

Further up the hill, near a sign that read “USA TEA COMPANY EST. 1982,” two tea farmers in denim overalls were collecting fresh green leaves into large woven baskets.
The male farmer wore a camouflage baseball cap and a plaid shirt underneath his overalls, while the woman wore a similar plaid shirt with her grey hair pulled back.
The dog bounded into their clearing, barking repeatedly and jumping up toward their hands to grab their attention.
The male farmer paused, dropping a handful of leaves back into his basket as the dog whined and spun around toward the road.
The woman looked down the path, her hands resting on the edge of her basket as the dog continued its frantic movements.
Running to the Rescue
Both workers dropped their baskets onto the dirt road, leaving the harvested leaves spilling onto the ground.
They ran behind the dog, their heavy boots splashing through the deep puddles along the curving track.
The dog led them directly to the overturned SUV, where the driver was still struggling to breathe under the crushed door.
“Help me! I can’t move my leg!” the driver called out, his voice strained as they approached.
The male farmer grabbed the underside of the vehicle’s frame while the woman positioned herself next to him, her hands gripping the dirty green metal.
They strained against the weight of the vehicle, their faces tightening as they pushed upward with all their strength.
The dog stood inches away, barking steadily and shifting its weight from side to side as they lifted.
With a final coordinated heave, they lifted the frame just enough to clear the driver’s lower body.
Safe on the Ground
The male farmer reached down, grabbing the driver by his jacket sleeves and slowly sliding him out from beneath the crushed cabin.
The driver gasped, his hands scraping against the wet gravel as he finally cleared the heavy door frame.
He sat up slowly on the muddy ground, wiping a smear of red from his temple where his face had scraped against the dirt.
The dog immediately pressed its chest against his shoulder, tail wagging rapidly as it licked his face.
The two farmers stood side by side, their hands on their hips, smiles breaking across their faces as they watched the pair.
The driver wrapped both arms tightly around the dog’s neck, burying his face in its brown fur while the dog continued to wag its tail against the side of the overturned green SUV.
