A Sudden Attack on the Ridge
The eagle’s large brown wings flapped violently as its talons dug into the back of a young mountain goat.
A hiker wearing an orange jacket sprinted down the narrow dirt ledge toward the struggling predator.
He shouted loudly and swung his heavy green backpack over his head to intimidate the massive bird.
Fighting Off the Predator
The sudden commotion forced the eagle to release its grip and drop the kid onto the rocky path.
The bird lifted into the sky and circled above the valley, hovering in the open air.
The hiker dropped to his knees on the gravel and extended his open hands toward the small white animal.
Escorting the Young Goat
The baby goat rested on its knees for a brief moment before standing up on shaky legs.
It walked closely beside the hiker’s boots as he turned around and continued along the cliffside path.
Above them, an adult mountain goat stood perched on the rocky hillside, watching the pair approach.
Reuniting on the Mountain Trail
The small kid trotted forward to meet the mother goat on the gravel ledge.
The hiker stood nearby with his hands at his side as the two goats touched noses against the mountain landscape.
