Dealership Employee Denies Elderly Buyer Service Over His Modest Appearance

An Unwelcome Visitor On The Showroom Floor

The elderly man rested his hand against the chrome handlebar of the motorcycle. He wore a simple beige windbreaker and plain dark boots as he stepped around the front wheel.

A salesman in an embroidered black collared shirt crossed his arms. When the older man spoke up to complete a purchase, the employee burst into laughter.

The salesman leaned forward, pointing a finger directly at the man’s chest. He told him he could not afford the rubber on the tires and demanded he step outside.

A Quiet Response At The Counter

The older man did not raise his voice or shift his stance. He walked straight toward the glass counter, unzipped his inner jacket pocket, and slid out a black card.

He placed the card flat against the glass next to the purchase forms. The employee’s smirk vanished as he stared down at the counter.

The young man blinked rapidly, his fingers resting motionless on the register. He asked if the customer was being serious.

The older man kept his posture upright and repeated his request for the paperwork. Before the transaction could proceed, heavy footsteps approached from the showroom floor.

A Sudden Turn Of Authority

A senior manager in a white dealership shirt stepped between both men. He looked from the card on the counter to the employee’s name tag.

The manager raised his arm and extended a palm toward the older customer. He announced to the room that the customer standing before them owned the entire dealership network.

The young salesman’s mouth dropped open. His eyes widened as he stepped back against the counter edge.

The owner glanced at the floor and spoke plainly about being dismissed before a single question was asked. The manager pointed a stern finger toward the glass exit doors and instructed the employee to leave his badge and exit the building.

Taking The Saddle

The dismissed salesman collected his personal items and walked past the entry door without looking back. The surrounding staff members gathered near the back wall of the showroom.

The owner swung his right boot over the motorcycle’s leather seat and gripped both handlebars. He rested his feet on the floorboards while the remaining staff stood in a semi-circle behind him, clapping their hands as the engine idled.
