A man sitting quietly in a fast-food joint, nursing a bloody nose and a bowl of spaghetti, had no idea his day was about to go from bad to worse. A young, arrogant employee in an orange uniform hovered over him, repeatedly jabbing a finger into his face and shouting orders to leave. Dressed in a sharp, expensive suit and carrying a heavy metal briefcase, he walked back into the burger shop with a confidence that froze the room. The employee’s face went from smug to sheet-white as the realization hit him like a freight train.
A harsh lesson in reality — The stranger wasn’t a down-and-out vagrant after all; he was the owner of the entire chain. Without saying a word, he approached the counter and handed the metal case to the stunned female employee. When she popped the latches open, the counter was flooded with the sight of neatly stacked, thick bundles of cold, hard cash. The arrogant bully could only stand there, mouth agape, realizing he’d just thrown his career away for a moment of ego.
