A Quick Interaction At The Terminal
A Golden Retriever wearing a black police K-9 vest moves through the crowded airport terminal. He trots alongside a woman carrying a brown leather handbag.
The dog keeps his eyes fixed on the bag. Without warning, he lunges forward and clamps his jaws onto the handle.
The woman shouts, pulling back on the bag with both hands as her heels slide against the polished floor. She loses her balance and drops to her knees.
The dog twists his head, successfully pulling the bag away from her grip. He turns and sprints toward a large, decorative water fountain located in the outdoor plaza.
The Fountain Eruption
The dog drops the bag into the center of the stone fountain. He turns his body away, his ears pricked forward as he heads back toward the terminal entrance.
A bright orange fireball erupts from the center of the fountain. Fragments of stone and debris fly through the air, hitting the pavement as black smoke billows toward the glass building.
The shockwave ruffles the hair on the dog’s back. He continues walking toward the person filming the scene, his tail held high and his mouth slightly open.
Returning To Safety
The camera moves toward the dog as he approaches. The handler reaches out, placing both gloved hands on either side of the dog’s head.
The dog leans into the contact, closing his eyes as his handler moves his fingers through the fur behind his ears. He keeps his gaze steady despite the chaos unfolding behind him.
The handler continues to rub the dog’s head, smoothing the fur near his neck and forehead. Behind them, an emergency vehicle with its red lights flashing pulls toward the burning fountain.
The dog stays standing on the wet pavement, his chest rising and falling. His ears remain alert, swiveling toward the sound of a helicopter blade cutting through the air above the terminal roof.
He remains still, his front paws planted on the ground. A final shot shows him looking toward the camera as firefighters in reflective jackets sprint past the fountain wreckage toward the scene.
