Disaster Strikes When A Security Guard Dismisses A Desperate Man

A man covered head-to-toe in thick, dark mud is forcibly dragged toward the exit of a pristine, high-end office lobby. His work coveralls are stained and heavy, dripping onto the polished marble floors as he pleads with the security guard who is manhandling him.

The guard, clearly disgusted by the intruder’s appearance, yells at him to get out. With a violent shove, the guard pushes the man through the glass doors and into the rainy, overcast day outside.

The warning left behind — As the man struggles to get up on the wet pavement, he doesn’t lash out. Instead, he reaches out one mud-caked hand and presses it firmly against the pristine glass of the building, leaving a dark, haunting print.

Inside, the business woman in charge of the building watches with pure contempt. She pulls a tissue from her pocket, wipes the smudge of dirt off the glass with a look of utter repulsion, and tosses the paper away as if the man were nothing more than trash.

She then storms over to a support pillar, pointing at a small smear of mud left on the structural concrete. She demands that a cleaning lady scrub it off immediately, her voice sharp with irritation, completely missing the fact that the entire building is trembling.

A chilling realization — The moment the cleaning lady begins to wipe the pillar, the concrete starts to spiderweb. Massive, deep cracks race up the length of the beam, and chunks of heavy masonry begin to crumble and rain down onto the floor.

The woman’s face shifts from anger to pure, paralyzed terror as she realizes her mistake. Outside, the sprawling construction site behind the lobby begins to buckle, the steel and concrete structure groaning as it folds in on itself.

The disaster unfolds — The lobby floor beneath the woman’s feet starts to split open, a jagged fissure creeping across the marble like a lightning bolt. She stands there, gripping the hand of her colleague as the massive building across the way collapses into a mountain of twisted metal and rubble.

The silence that follows is deafening. They stand there, frozen in the wreckage of their own arrogance, finally understanding that the man they threw out was never the threat they thought he was.
