A peaceful, snow-covered yard looks like the perfect setting for a playful neighborhood prank. A woman in a winter coat is busy shoveling, totally unaware of the two neighbors lurking behind the tall wooden fence. The moment the prank began — they stood up on the other side of the fence, arms raised, ready to dump a massive pile of snow right on top of her. As it comes crashing down, she lets out a startled yelp, but her golden retriever by her side is already looking up, ready to play along.
She walks off, seemingly defeated by the snowy ambush. But little does anyone know, the real mastermind is just getting warmed up. The dog trots toward the road, sniffing out a plan, while the two pranksters head inside their home, feeling pretty proud of their successful little trick. They have no idea what’s waiting for them.
The secret mission unfolds — as the golden retriever returns with a bucket held firmly in his mouth. He makes his way to the neighbors’ car, which is already coated in a thick, frosty layer of ice. With focused determination, the dog climbs right up onto the roof of the vehicle. He’s not playing around; he’s got a bucket of water, and he’s clearly on a mission to settle the score once and for all.
He tips the bucket, letting the water pour directly over the car door, turning the handle and seals into a solid sheet of ice. The trap is perfectly set. He hops down, tail wagging, as if he knows exactly how difficult it’s going to be for his targets to get moving.
The ultimate payback happens — when the two neighbors come back out, eager to get on with their day. They walk down the steps, laughing and acting like everything is normal, totally oblivious to the icy surprise waiting for them. They reach for the car door, only to find it completely frozen shut.
As they struggle with the frozen handle, they look defeated and confused, while the woman and her dog watch from the safety of their warm home. They take a sip of their coffee, watching the perfect revenge play out from the window. It turns out that you really shouldn’t mess with a golden retriever and his best friend.
